Akosua Aset

English, German

My name is Akosua Aset and since 2012 I am certified in Kemetic Yoga and an initiate of Smai Tawi and it’s Hudu and Tjef Sema Paut Neteru systems.

These practices which are at least 7000 years old originated at the river Hapi (Nile) Valley and it’s postures (Sanuyaats) were found on the walls of the Medu Neter (Hieroglyphics).

In the last 50 years Smai Tawi has re-emerged amongst Africans and the african diaspora.

On some days of my sessions I focus a lot on Hudu which is a rhythmic flow that connects the physical and spiritual body with the elemental forces to enhance focus, fluidity and our inherent powers for manifestation. The spiritual component is key to a wholesome practice.

On other days it’s more about the Smai Postures encouraging strength, flexibility and connecting with the breath.

Smai Tawi encourages our ability to self heal through because we heighten our awareness for self, our blockages and our needs to accomplish overall wellness. We are healing together…

Sessions are suitable for all levels and ages.

Mariam

English, German

Udja!

I am Mariam, a Smai Tawi Basu (Kemetic Yoga teacher) with a journey that has taken years to find her heart. My journey began many years ago when I first read about yoga. However, it took three decades before I felt it had to be a form of yoga that touched me at my core.

In 2014, I came across pictures of black yogi , including my current teacher, without realising that I had already manifested her as my spiritual guide. I explored different styles of yoga, but it was Kemetic Yoga that attracted me so much that I decided to train. The connection to spirituality, the profound effect on my life and the teachings of sustainability and healing from ancient Kemit fascinate me every day.

Smai Tawi is more than a practice; it encompasses nutrition, lifestyle and the rich knowledge of the African continent. As a Basu, it is my passion to pass on these values and wisdom, they are precious and radiate the love of Africa.

It fills me with joy and gratitude to share the power, healing and extensive knowledge of Black Yoga to bring light and love to the world.

I am trained in the system "Nuk Pu Neteru Meri" (I am God's love) by Akosua Aset Meri.

Nane

English, French

Udja Divine Souls,

I  am Nane Kahle, a certified Smai Tawi Basu instructor of "Thef Sema Paut Neteru System" by Neter Ankh, attaining certification in October 2020.

My journey into yoga began with various experiences, each leaving me physically stretched but seeking a deeper connection.

Amidst a dark period, while yearning for a link to my ancestry, I stumbled upon a class led by the dear Sister @akosua_aset. Intrigued, I joined, and upon experiencing the session, I felt an innate connection to the practice. It resonated with me profoundly, as if I had always known it. It became clear to me that this was a path of liberation and well-being that I needed to share with others.

This ancient wisdom, rooted in the "Thef Sema Paut Neteru System," offers diverse dimensions, all geared towards achieving inner balance on multiple levels.

My sessions welcome all seekers, regardless of experience level. Whether you're new to the practice or an experienced yogi, of any age,  gender, you are welcome to join us.

During our time together, we journey inward, guided by the transformative power of breathwork. This practice, fundamental to the "Thef Sema Paut Neteru System," allows us to enter a meditative state, while aligning our body, mind, and spirit. In Ancient Egypt, breath was revered as the "Source of Life," and through it, we rediscover our vitality and connection to the divine within.

Join me on this sacred journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Together, let us awaken the ancient wisdom within and embrace the path to holistic well-being.

Neter Maát

English, German, French, Mina

I go by the Name Neter Maát, a certified Smai Tawi Basu instructor of " Nuk Pu Neteru Meri System" by Akosua Aset, which means "I am God's love".

Those who choose Smai Tawi are invariably in search of themselves. My love for Smai Tawi is that spirituality and physical reality meet, and the task is to keep this in balance (Maat).

In "Nuk Pu Neteru Meri System", body, mind and ego are purified so that the divine within us can emerge as "the Higher I", also known as InI or "I am who I am".

Yoga often speaks of the "higher self", but it is often not mentioned that the "higher self" and the "ego" are in duality with each other. Those who cannot control their ego cannot manifest the divine within themselves, because the divine is pure and can only settle in pure places.

For me, Smai tawi teaches to control the ego through the Maat laws so that InI can take its place in our heart. Speaking of the heart, the "Nuk Pu Neteru Meri System" teaches self-love, What is your definition of self-love? Find out and most importantly fulfil it yourself in our Smai Tawi sessions.

Rashida

English, German

Greetings cosmic souls,

I am Rashida or in my Kemetic name Maat Nebu Amun - "She who keeps the hidden truth and justice golden"

My kemetic soul healing journey began after my beloved mother's energy left the realm of this dimension, which is 5 years ago.

It started with tribal fusion belly dance and Kundalini Yoga, followed by Smai-Tawi and Afrikan Yoga.

I am certified in Smai-Tawi as well as in Afrikan Yoga since 2020.

Smai-Tawi works with the combination of movement and breath - yet storytelling is a big part of it as well. Afrikan Yoga is a rhythmic practice based and works with the elements and the cosmic forces of nature.

On the journey, I will combine Smai-Tawi with elemental rhythmic movements of Hudu, breathwork, Hekaus (mantras), meditation, and dance to help the activation of your higher self and to share the soul healing and magic of these ancient practices.
